Lukas worked for over 5 years for the US law firm Skadden in Vienna, Frankfurt and London. The current team was initially established at PwC, where Lukas was Partner and Head of Financial Legal Services and a member of the Market Council. Previously, he was General Counsel, Regulatory SPOC, Corporate Secretary and Head of Participations at international banks and held various supervisory board mandates. He is also a certified compliance and data protection officer, the author of numerous specialist publications on financial law and a lecturer in banking M&A at the University of Vienna.
Lukas also heads the Private Wealth and CIS desks. He advises and supports clients on their market entry in Austria, asset relocation, corporate and personnel migration and the establishment of family office structures including accounts, infrastructure and corporate structures.
He is a licensed business consultant and offers legal services as well as business and financial consulting services. This includes financial due diligences, market soundings, process implementations and transaction management.
Lukas advises clients in all areas of sanctions and embargo law. Lukas has a particular focus on advising banks and bank clients in relation to frozen assets. His background in the banking sector is of particular benefit to his clients. He regularly represents clients before regulatory authorities. Lukas also focuses on advising on the specifics of oil and gas sanctions as well as general import and export restrictions.
He speaks German, English and has basic knowledge of Russian.
