rk partners is pleased to announce that it is in charge of the legal organization and implementation of the nationwide citizen energy community oe24 Energy in the legal form of a cooperative. Together with the media group “Österreich”, the Weinviertel-based company PVT-Austria, the energy platform energyfamily from Amstetten and the Austrian Cooperative Association (ÖGV), a pioneering project for sustainable energy supply has been launched throughout Austria.
rk partners’ expertise in energy and cooperative law made a decisive contribution to creating the optimal legal framework for this innovative project.
“We are proud to have provided legal support for the founding of oe24 Energy. The cooperative as a legal form offers ideal conditions for large-scale joint projects such as this one. It is scalable, flexible and offers the members particular security,” explains Dominik Kurzmann, Partner at rk partners.
It was founded with the support of the Austrian Cooperative Association (ÖGV), which has extensive experience in the field of energy cooperatives. Peter Haubner, Chairman of the Board of the ÖGV, emphasizes: “I am delighted that we are able to support this exciting start-up with our expertise. I warmly welcome oe24 Energy to our cooperative family.”
Dominik Kurzmann, CEO of oe24 Energy, adds: “With this energy community, we offer sustainable electricity from Austria for Austria – and at a fair tariff. We want to grow quickly and make as many citizens as possible members.” His fellow board member Thomas Mischu emphasizes: “Together we can achieve great things and make a significant contribution to the energy transition!”.
Private households and companies from all over Austria can feed surplus renewable electricity into this community and its members can consume the electricity together. Members without their own systems can also participate as pure electricity consumers and thus benefit from fair electricity prices within the community.
